Natural Reed Diffuser DIY Recipe
So you've gone low tox but you're missing your fancy reed diffusers around your home, I get it! so did i, so i looked into some glass bottles and played around with some recipes, and i'm so happy to introduce you to our new reed diffuser recipe! ENJOY!
Ingredients:

Method:

  • Add dried florals to jar if you're planning to add them
  • Add essential oils of choice - i find citrus work best for these - I've used around 60 drops in total for a 200ml bottle - you can add what you want based on your personal preference, i like it strong though.
  • Add around 30ml of witch hazel, proof alcohol or vodka (your choice) to the bottle - i find vodka works best though. - this helps the oils absorb up the reeds better.
  • Add carrier oil and put the lid on and give it a good shake to blend all the ingredients
  • Take the lid off and add the reed sticks to the bottle, flip sticks regularly and keep out of the sun for best results.

* As this is scented with natural essential oils you may find that the smell doesn't last as long as regular store bought reed diffusers. This is completely normal. Just flip your sticks regularly to get more scent from them and keep it out of the sun so that the oils don't get evaporated.
